The Disney Channel website (www.disneychannel.com) is a resource and source of entertainment for all Disney Channel fans. The homepage allows users to check the schedule for the evening shows with a link to the full schedule for the day. There are also tabs at the top of the page that link to games, videos, and more. Fans of the Disney Channel and Disney in general can look up their favorite characters and stars on the “Characters and Stars” page. The page has tabs for all characters, live action, animated, classics, and music stars making it easy for users to locate their favorites quickly. Once a tab is picked, users can select a show or scroll down and pick a character.

The “Games” and “Videos” tabs are self explanatory. What users might find perplexing is the “Create” tab. The page this tab leads to allows users to draw in a way similar to the program “Paint” and create photo mashups. This is the virtual version of the classic sticker book. Finally, the last tab is the “My Page” tab where users can log in to their disneychannel.com account, allowing them to save their scores and artwork.

Unfortunately, the sheer amount of information on each page can be confusing, especially to younger users who may not be as familiar with navigating the internet. Luckily, there is an all text means of navigation that can be found at the bottom of the home page. This can alleviate frustration that may result in difficulties finding information on the site. Also, the amount of media on the pages makes for a longer than usual loading time. This problem is made more apparent when a user has a slower computer or internet connection.
